Shed the stress and escape into an enchanting retreat with panoramic vistas of majestic mountains and postcard villages. As if pulled into a portal, a rust gate appears revealing a passageway of giant granite boulders that softly twists until you reach your pristine destination perched undetected at the very top.

 Managed by the charming couple that designed the retreat (they live on site with their children and dog), the experience is entirely personalized with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and support for local producers. Every moment is designed to be memorable and sensorial with barefoot nature walks, forest baths, massages and yoga; private hiking trails, jeep excursions, pic-nics and star gazing sessions, all on site. On the property, you’ll also have access to a Roman ruin and an Iron Age settlement. And when in season, you’ll pick the most fragrant peaches right off the trees. 

Outside of the retreat, you’ll explore the center of Belmonte, a village rich with history–a  significant piece of it tied to Jewish heritage. You’ll pay a visit to a winery producing Beira Interior DOC wine with a traditional lunch among the vineyards. For nature lovers thirsty for more trails, we’ll arrange walks, hikes or jeep tours through nearby Serra da Estrela mountain, a Unesco Global Geopark.
